1. Hermes is a god, and a messenger that works for the gods. Hermes’s mission was to go to Calypso and tell her to let Odysseus go, so that he can go back home. With his wand Hermes can charm the eye of men: some, he enchants with sleep, just as he can, at will, awaken others.
2. Calypso wasnt so crazy about the idea, but shelet him go because she knew how much he wanted to go home, she was also very angry and sad about him leaving.
3. Odysseus’s main problem about traveling by sea was Poseidon. When Poseidon found out Odysseus was going home, he set out traps for Odysseus, like a big wave that was to drown Odysseus.
4. At the end of book five, Odysseus gets shelter from some trees and leaves that keep him warm enough for Athena to put him to sleep in peace, oh and Odysseus is on an island which the big wave, of Poseidon, brought him to.

Max – he made it to the island of the Phacians.
Evgeny – you should look in the book or on the easy version of the Odyssey to answer the questions rather than doing an Internet search. Stefan is right – the Internet lies! And the point is to review the reading!
